Shennio Lin, the runner up for Taiwanese singing competition 'One Million Stars' from 2008 has finally announced the release of her own new album after 12 years.
The new EP is called "I'm Singing" and contains 4 songs, including her popular hit theme song from the movie "等一個人的咖啡" called "等一個人Waiting for a person", which has since amassed over 30 million replays.
Her first single from the EP is called '道聽途說Hearsay', and is a passionate ballad which captures Lin's own tale of being cheated on by her boyfriend with one of her best friends.
While filming the music video, Lin herself shed many tears due to the meaning that she felt behind the lyrics and how it resonated with her own story of love and loss.
In the process of recording songs for this EP, Lin was under a lot of pressure as she had not stepped into the studio for over one and a half years, and often ended up crying due to the amount of stress she put onto herself to create a product that she was satisfied with.
Lin believes that this album is her way of expressing to all her fans that although she has not been active in the music scene lately, she has still continued to sing and will continue to do so, moving her fans and audiences alike.
Shennio Lin's EP will be available for purchase on the 1st of March, and is now available for pre-order on Books.tw.
