Please give a warm welcome to this newbie singer-songwriter Zhan Yu Qi ! With a voice that is a combination of Tanya Chua and Stefanie sun and songwriting skills to boot, she is a really unique singer with a voice that can be clean, but can also be husky when needed. They've already released a slew of her new songs, so have a listen to the deep and meaningful lyrics! She has a unique, but very refreshing sound and image! Following in the footsteps of those such as Tanya Chua, William Wei and Lara Liang, she shows off her guitar prowess, performing within the music videos with it!
To be honest , I've never heard of Van Fan until I heard his new song from this album called <什么风把你吹来的> (What wind brought you here) that really blew me away. Literally for him , as you see him take a dive out of a helicopter with a person strapped to his chest as he parachutes down, while shooting the video on a hand held camera the entire time. As a person scared of heights , it's not really my deal but I really do love the song! It's a really cheerful song and I love his voice for its strong, powerful but clean lines that go well with the rhythmic acoustic guitar riffs and a little synthesiser with powerful drums in the chorus. Really a song that I recommend to all of you! After reading his biography, I was pleasantly surprised to find that he wrote the melody for this song himself! Im impressed! Also he's released his second single for his new album, <我是谁>（Who am I) which is down the bottom, a rock ballad which goes down real easy.
Xian zi has released , or will be releasing (sorry , official details are a little sketchy) her new album called <what's what>, as is the name of her first single. I'm not a fan of KPop and her music video for this song seems a little kpoppy , but unlike kpop it is unique , interesting and different. I find that the difference between this video and kpop videos are that although they have really bright costumes and often have choreographed dance moves, the moves and the clothes used within this song are all used to accent the theme of the song and really work well together! The song itself has a rebellious , impulsive feel which is feel is a real selling point , and a really catchy melody too!
And here is also her second single from the album , 说好就算了(Let's leave it at that)!
After releasing her most recent album in the middle of last year, Claire kuo is set to release her next album, which is a greatest hits set with a few new songs! She's also prepared a new image, or two rather that oppose each other! One is a more optimistic and happy image while the other is demure and melancholy. The album is named <致纯静> (pristine) and will be released on the 30th of August!
