It's never fun to see your brainchild that you've worked so hard for removed from a prestigious awards ceremony like the Golden Melody Awards. It's even worse to see your own name defaced by the people you gave the success to the song to, and even worse to see the artist who was given the chance to enter the spotlight again with this song turn her back on you, and not tell the truth. This was pretty much what producer Skot Suyama had to deal with, some unecessary consequences for a song that he made with no ill intentions, just love and pride.
Here is the blog post Skot did about his feelings towards the situation:
"I don’t know if I’ll ever work with A-Lin again. Which is a shame. So many times, when I’m writing songs, I picture A-Lin’s voice in my head. Her voice is just amazing. She sings from her soul. She means every single word. So you can imagine I have so many songs written, perfectly for her.

Just to add in my two cents, I can't believe that this is what record companies are reduced to. Making false statements that probably won't make them even half as much money as the one single that catapaulted A-Lin back into the spotlight again. Concert halls have a seating limit, but songs can be replayed over, over and over. I'm pretty glad that they're being shut down, but I do feel sorry for their artists. And as for A-Lin, what she did was unacceptable. I just don't understand why she didn't stand up for Skot when she obviously knew the truth behind the made up story that Avex put out. Avex probably told her to keep her mouth shut, but she knew what the right thing to do was, and she didn't act on it. I can't believe how someone with such emotion in her voice, such passion, who embodies impulsivity, creativity and love in her voice could do such a thing. I'm sorry, but it really sets her back a few in my eyes.
I remember walking to the bus stop on a beautiful, crisp, cold morning while listening to the song, just me and <幸福了然后呢>(the song in question), and I also remember how happy it made me, and thinking how great the arrangement was, how perfect the song was. But now listening to it will never be the same, as thinking about how some stupid materialistic record company ruined my favourite producer's image gets in the way of everything else at the moment. I just feel that people should know the truth, because at the end of it all , honesty's always the best policy.
